CGT

Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) is an advanced approach to treating diseases by modifying cells or genes. Cellular therapy products include cellular immunotherapies, cancer vaccines, and other autologous and allogeneic cells for therapeutic purposes, including hematopoietic stem cells and adult and embryonic stem cells. Human gene therapy aims to modify or manipulate gene expression or alter the biological properties of living cells for therapeutic use. Terminology may vary across regulators; for example, the EU refers to these as ATMPs (Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products).
