The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), formerly known as the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA), is the South Korean government agency responsible for promoting public health by ensuring the safety and efficacy of food, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and cosmetics. It also regulates clinical trials and the development of new drugs.
