December 21, 2021 – LOG4J security vulnerability

As security services across the globe became aware of a key 0-day vulnerability in LOG4J software, Redica Systems analyzed the extent of our vulnerability and took mitigation measures against it.
The only vector for this vulnerability was within an AWS service that powers content search within Redica’s Platform application. Rather than waiting for AWS global rollout of the patch, Redica submitted – and AWS carried out – an expedited request. The new patch + instance/restart was successfully completed on December 15, 2021 at 5:36 AM UTC.
